Hello
I received Starsat sr-200hd Extreme today and updated it with the latest firmware,
but I can't find out how to use the Patch menu through Googling.
Is there a way to activate the Patch menu and Forever IKS?
It's frustrating because it's only a guide video, not English, in Arabic. Thank you

There is news on some sites and from a person close to me that all the old devices related to the modern regular Apollo devices and those that have had more than five years of support will stop thanks to gradual support and their updates will be delayed and will come with great features and you will notice the difference in additions between the devices and the old ones.🙂

Yes, I know what a server upgrade is. But what is the benefit of upgrading the server if there are many hardware problems? StarSat and GOSAT only want profit
Yeah It is known most updates during the tenure of Goosat servers are always like that, just a Number change basically. Only once in a while where the update is actually useful.

To solve the boot problem, download the update from the web and rename it to RomUpdate, put it in a folder under the same name RomUpdate then put it on a USB that is formatted.
Then put the USB on the device and press power, the device will show "BOOT" in the the front panel display then it will become "UPDATE", that means it is updating. Wait until its complete and eventually it will be back working again.

Thank you for your great reply, ill check on the usual sites if the new software has made it online, it’s a great little box I’d miss it if I can’t fix it tonight.

I tried renaming the software I was running 3.58 to RomUpdate.bin but it made no difference still boot looping! Maybe I have to wait for 3.61 to turn up on the websites ?

Does the file need to be called RomUpdate.bin?

I've recovered a Geant Android device before with these instructions.

1 - Download the latest update for the device.
2 - After decompressing the update, rename it RomUpdate.bin, put it in a folder, name the folder RomUpdate.bin
3 - Put the folder on a usb, connect usb to the device.
4 - Turn off the device at the mains plug.
5 - Press the power button on the front of the device and switch the power on.
6 - The word BOOT will appear, followed by UPDATE.
7 - When Update appears leave everything and the device will start to update.
8 - The device will reboot, the update was successful.

i recovered a Starsat2000 HD Extreme with your method @Mikelsat
think it may well have been you that posted this method that time too .
it worked and that exact same Starsat2000 HD Extreme still remains working fine to this very day (y)
its very easy to give up hope but if that method does fail its 100% down to user error to blame nothing else .
Good luck @harshy : )

Sorry I should have said to name the folder RomUpdate instead of RomUpdate.bin, can you change it please, thanks.

Hi just to confirm the folder should be called RomUpdate.bin or just RomUpdate I’ll try again with old 3.5.8 as 3.6.1 is no where to be seen on the download sites.
