what do i need to go with this to make it so that i can get all UK cable channels? I've got some keys but need to know what plugins and cams to download, where from and how to install them.

am i right in thinking this sifteam image is: ABcom r8107 for 900HD/Mini

+ uk cable database?

My cli image randomly stops for 20secs to 2mins at a time so i need to try another image and hopefully a few different cams to try out.

No,, this is SIF team r8107 which is based on DGS image, and not Abcom image...
and there is no such problems on boxes here on uk cable on same image so you might have a signal problem, but there only is mgcamd that is really reliable, you will find evocamd in download panal in SIF team image, but it isnt quite solid yet i dont say

get the uk database from your box the now!!! /var/db.dat
or use pc-editor to get it, ( you may need to tell pc-editor your box is a cuberevo and not a cuberevo mini )
but yeh cli team addon has uk database tool, but you cannot use addons with SIF image,,,
and cams you download thru plugins on Sif image yes.
still need your keys too!

im currently on cli 0.1.0 image, how do i go from that to sifteam latest? do i flash with sifteam image or do i flash with abcom image first, cant seem to find anywhere on forum of how to do this or is sifteam just an addon that you ftp across and load it from in the abcom menus?

would be good if there was a guide as a sticky showing what you need to do to get each of the images onto your box.

to flash with SIF image, you will need to flash official full DGS type image( not Abcom ) ( 32mb roughly ), then flash with SIF.

and there is plenty flashing guides, and its not really that difficult to understand if you have a full 32mb noboot image you can just flash that onto anything,,, but if you have only a kernal_root_db image 22mb, then its not complete so you need to flash official DGS first

i'm getting ER 10 message when i do usb-upgrade. i've left all 3 .img files on my fat32 formatted usb pen and not renamed any of them, they are named:

usb_db.img
usb_kernel_root.img
usb_kernel_roob_db.img

do i need to rename any of these, if so which ones and what to?






here is the name of the sifteam image, will this need renaming too? usb_all_noboot.img

yes,,,, again as per all tuts and instruction manual, rename the file to usb_update.img

I cant find these tutorials that you keep talking about which is why i have to ask in this thread, feel free to link me to a guide.

copy only one file to usb stick.
rename any image file to "usb_update.img" or you will get error 10.
to flash with dgs image
rename dgs image to "usb_update.img"
to flash with sif image
rename sif image to "usb_update.img"

usb_kernel_root - a software without database
usb_db - a database
usb_kernel_root _db - kernel with database
usb_all_noboot - kernel with database –
usb_welcome - file, which install welcome logo.
usb_uboot - a bootloader. Not to be installed, it is used when there is a trouble with software installation

i just renamed: usb_kernel_root.img but i now get ER 5

i followed these instructions:

"1. do not plug the USB stick into your receiver yet
2. if necessary, switch on your IPbox; make sure it receives some program
3. switch the box into cold standby: on the front panel, press the I/O switch and the Ok switch simultaneously, the clock appears on your display
4. now, and no sooner, plug the USB stick into the USB slot on the rear of your IPbox
5. Push the front panel I/O switch and do not release it
6. Wait until "BOOTING" appears on your display (whilst still holding the I/O switch)
7. keep on pushing the I/O switch and press the Up key
8. "USB UPDATE" will appear on your display - release the front-panel buttons
9. ERASING will appear on your display, and a slowly incrementing number, this takes quite a while
10. FLASHING will appear on your display, and a slowly incrementing number, this also takes quite a while
11. Then, finally, "DONE" will be displayed: immediately switch of the box using the power switch on the rear
12. Remove the USB stick
13. Switch on your receiver, which will boot the new image

use a 900/cuberevo mini image on a 900/cuberevo mini,,,,
use a 9000/cuberevo image on a 9000/cuberevo :nana:

p,s the flashing tut i was talking about is in your instruction manual that came with the box!

edited--- p.s it looks more like a usb_alnoboot.img in this thread,,, why not try renaming that usb_udpate.img and see what the good fortune might brings to you.
