Hi everyone. So happy to be here.

I live in France.

Up until now I've been watching UK tv (BBC, ITV, CHAN 4 & 5) through a Humax HDR 1100 Freesat recorder box with a twin LNB input.

All was well until the box conked out!

I have now replaced it with a Vu+Duo 4k SE.

I thought that setting up would be a breeze.

How mistaken was I. It is so complicated - even using the wizard - that I have yet to receive a single channel.

If any kind soul on this forum could direct me to a step by step instruction for dummies, I would be more than grateful.

Mods you can split this thread if you wish.

If you have got the box on and exited out of the wizard hopefully you can see the menu ect on the screen. Push menu, set up, reception, tuner configuration. Select tuner A.. Select configuration mode to simple by dropping down and then toggling left and right. drop down to mode select single, drop down to satellite and select astra 28.2. Push green button to save
Next load a channel list. push menu, then plugins. next green button to to select download plugins, then select settings or settings packages , scroll down to you see a option with 28.2 in it. probably select one with not many other options. Push ok and install it. The box might reboot. Once its reboot push ok on remote and then up. Push green or yellow button for reception list. Select 28.2 and the channel list should appear in alphabetical order, scroll down until the channel you want and push ok. That should be it.

I'm slowly getting to grips with my STB. I've managed to tune into the Astra 28.5 E channels I want and set them up in the favourite lists.

If someone could point me to a 7 day EPG, that would be grand. The one that comes with the box is useless.

Setting up a new device can definitely be tricky, especially with advanced receivers like the Vu+ Duo 4K SE! Have you tried checking online forums or YouTube tutorials for a step-by-step guide? Hopefully, someone here can point you in the right direction. Also, if you're looking for more streaming options, you might consider Smart Play download for easy access to your favorite channels.
