Greetings to all friends of the forum.
Start by describing my DVB configuration:
1-) Skystar HD 2
2-) Aver Media Volar Green HD
3-) Motor Clarke Tech ( I manage with a sat decoder )
For many years use DVBDream, and now I've decided to switched to ProgDVB Professional 7.07 and the first problems arise here, let me explain:
The two DVB cards are detected, the DTT working properly, some problems arose with the SAT card more precisely can not I add satellites, DISEQ,
this option does not appear in the Main Menu -> Settings (correct me if I'm wrong) so I can make a scan of a single satellite, in addition,
the channel list (channel.dat) does not appear in the Channel folder, where it is saved?
To update my Transponder list (.ini) downloadable from Kyngofsat, how and where should I save them in the Transponder folder seen that there
is a "list" called "All" I have to do a copy and paste for each satellite?
Do you have any advice?
Thank you all.
p.s. sorry for my bad english.

Hi.
click on settings in the main menu and select tv sources. There should be an option which allows you to select advanced settings.Once this option is selected you should be able to install your positioner and satellites. If you go to progdvb home site and check manual it is explained with screen shots. I would add that this option only exists in the pro version and not the standard version (free) of this programme. hope this helps

Try re-loading the programme without saving existing files & settings.
Once loaded go immediately to TV sources. There should be a tab in the bottom pain for advanced settings. This pain disappears once set up is complete. Click this and then add positioner, lnb and satellite positions for each card. The programme should then auto insert transponders and channel lists without scanning. In this screen you can also enable/disable services such as iptv, torrent tv etc. If this does not work I would contact the vendor of the software.

Good luck

Thank you very much asdfghj now all work very well :thum:, with the hurry to install it I had not seen.
Now I would ask you:
1-) Where is saved channel list? How to make channel list backup? The Channel folder is empty.
Thank you very much again asdfghj.

Glad to have been able to help.
1)Channel lists in main directory in channels folder.
2)My installation backs up channels to Programmedata directory in windows. As a fall back I also backup up entire package with a seperate programme.
3)you may need to scan each sat position to populate file, though I am not sure.

Enjoy

1)I use backup maker - freeware
2)As regards missing channel lists, never experienced the problem so unable to help. May be installed in a different directory.

I used a small portable software (Everything) and found the file channel.dat in C: \ ProgramData \ ProgDVB \ Channels \ Channels.dat with other file.
I think I'll have to save this folder C: \ ProgramData \ ProgDVB \ Channels to have a backup of the channel list and transponder (there is also the transponder folder) and restore it to the same place in case of need or I can change (if yes how?) the path in C: \ Program Files (x86) \ ProgDVB where is installed the software? is easier.
Thank you asdfghj.

If everything is now working I would leave things as they are since now you know where the channel lists are it is'nt really a problem. In my case I have found solutions through trial and error. I am still learning!.

Better not touch anything, now it works.
Now I need to know how to update the transponder list (ini file) but I can learn it gradually.
Thank you asdfghj :thum:

I have several problems with progdvb 7.07.1. especially with the Spanish channels. When I plug the cam with the official card of digital + HD channels of frequency 10729 are not displayed while the other hd and sd are having no problems. With previous versions of progdvb I did not have this problem why?
