i would say its more of an internet prob then you can see the other box connecting in your cccam server, try restaring your cam and see if that helps.

Server Headache

I reset the dm's everytime I make the slightest change the Cam's startup no problem. As I explained earlier this is crazy as the setup is very striaghtforward. I have checked and rechecked setting changing passwords IP's images network cables and even swapped the box's about all to no avail.:eek:

i just got a brand new one of these for a back up, all the netgear routers are pretty the same software inside firewall rules etc!

i will install snagit tomorrow and take some snap shots of the firwall rules and how to create a new rule for CCcam for you.

Log into you router and click on services then click on add service

Service Definiton
Name = CCcam
Type = TCP
Start Port = 12000
Finish Port = 12000
then click on apply

Firewall Rules
Leave Outbound Services as it is

Inbound Services you will see CCcam tick the box and choose edit

Service = CCcam(TCP:12000)
Action = Allow Always
Send to Lan Server = 192.168.0.? ip of the receiver
WAN User = Any
Log = Never
click on apply

you can use what ever port you like

just make sure the ip set in the dreambox is the same as the one in Inbound services

I am using CCaminfo to check the functionality of server on the client it shows Server online but no client, when I Telnet the Server with the Red Line inserted it sees itself.
Client IP 192.168.0.51 Server 192.168.0.50
I am using nabilosat_v08_dm500s_maxvar_blue image on both DM500s.
Client Setting.
C: 192.168.0.50 12000 gold silver
Server Setting
F: gold silver 12000
C: 192.168.0.50 12000 gold silver
:eek:

Why did you copy the C Line from the Client DM into your Server?

Brummie again thank you for you excellent response. However I am only trying to use the CS Server for internal use at home at present. The setting you sent, I suspect are primarily for an external client connection. I have virtually the exact same setting anyway and still no reponse.

Server headache

It was only a test line i put in experimenting it has now been removed but regretably the client still isnt sharing with the server. To eliminate the router and other network issues, I even tried a crossover cable to no avail !:confused:

this is definatley 2 dreambox DM500's is the server reading your card ok check the entitlements h**p://192.168.0.?.:16001/entitlements and see if it detects the card and if its does add this to the F: line in the server
F: gold silver 3 0 0

leave the other box as it is with just the C: line and make sure there is no # in front of the C: in the client box config and the F: in the server box config

Yes they are definitely Dm500s the is read the card fine and is showing correctly in the Entitlements. I have added to the F line as suggested and left alone the client C Line no luck unfortunatly.
