Orange forms partnership for online sports betting

Orange has formed a three-year strategic partnership with Française des Jeux to incorporate online sports betting and lottery services into its Internet, mobile and TV platforms.
Sports betting with Française des Jeux will be available on the Orange sport and Orange sport info channels of the telco's pay-TV platforms before the end of 2010, subject to various legal and regulatory provisions. The two partners reportedly plan to develop innovative interactive content and services for Orange's sports channels, in line with its editorial policy.
Orange will also offer direct access to the Française des Jeux service 'ParionsWeb' from April 2010 for all users of the portal Orange.fr, within the sports and gaming sections on the portal. Lottery games will also be available in the gaming section of the portal. From this summer, Orange customers will be able to discover the 'ParionsWeb' service in the Orange Mobile portal's sports and gaming worlds, as well as lottery services in the gaming section.
