If you have an optibox with USB, just download the firmware into a stick, plug it in, then an update dialog will apear, press load and if the firmware is compatible it will load it, restart and that's all...

As a roumer, Optibox is in front of "inovation", so in nagra 3 will be cracked, then there will be a solution, untill then linux based optiboxes with ethernet port and card share :mecry
only one problem, that is traceable, does it worth the risk, guess not?) - and i was wondering the same, but nothing encouraging yet at this forum, guess Janicar is reserved in predictions Also UPC is moving to thor, and the question is also, optibox ??
Another question (if someone will ever answer), optibox is a dreambox clone (as far as i understud), so does all dreambox tools work with optibox?

I want to edit channel list for this receiver,and I succeeded,but
whenn I want put new list in the stb,stb go to restart and go to
factory reset...no list in stb...
I'm working with menu-9997 and stbnoimage_12,but no downland in menu-9997...over stbnoimage I send edited list to stb-off then on,and writing in stb and than go tofactory reset...
please Janicar or somebody to help me with this problem...

Don't want to be a pessimist, but WHEN ? no news of any nagra3 progress or anything at all ... if someone tell that there is the slightest progress i will belive it, but untill then, i guess there is nothing ... someone correct me if i'm wrong ...

I have a problem trying to add a ird number to my koala HD box for my card, have a 10 digit box number from my paired box, but it asks me for a 9 didgit number.. and can i add letters besides numbers in the ird code and how... Thankyou..

I put in the 10 digit number and that does not work still, but it as also locked the number to the ird, how can i unlock the ird number to put a new ird number in..
And yes still need help with the first bit too...

I have a question on transponders on Optibox CX PVR with latest software. Manually entering new transponders has no result, no chanells found. I loaded one of your FDUs and on some new transponders there were results. I tried to add with ChEdit and SetEdit but no results as well. There must be a trick I'm missing. Could you please share with us how to properly add new transponders?

hi all,
i bought a new receiver called Drake 5500 full HD.
it seems like to be a local name, it's universal name is optibox
but i want to know which version and model of the optibox so as to choose the correct files and settings for my new receiver.

But I am not still able find howto load latest keys .tbn file extension
