Everything is working as I wrote before, only the reboot is freeze. Need manually unplug and plug again.But when image runs, everything works.
See my method above.

New bug found. So here is the list. These are after ssl 84 and original dvb-drivers.

1. Online update works, but anytime I choose it says these is 1 update. Enigma2. Even I try 2 minutes later and 2 minutes later again. So I can update it forever, it never says "no recent update"

2. Box totally freeze when reboot. Black screen and black oled. But only enigma stops, ftp and telnet still alive. Waiting several minutes but nothing happen, no reboot.

3. It does not mount USB stick. (HDD works, record and playback works).

4. Can't install ipk's from HDD, it says "mediascanner not installed". I can find mediascanner in plugins, but green freeze when click on it.

These are not so big issues, box is full working, but these bugs are annoying. (Picons must be on HDD coz USB not mount.

For the time being use the 1023 ssl82 OpenPLi image.

The OpenPLi 2.1 and SSL84 don't like each other very much.

i`m also getting random lockups but only after unplugging power (power cycling the box), followed by enigma auto-restart and then everything seems to be running fine, the reason why i didn`t figure it out earlier is that i always turn off using the shut down menu..."good bye" screen, even when i upload new images!

By the way I`m still running the first ssl84 Pli build from gjs on a pro editon.

I flashed a new fresh system now with gjstroom's openpli version 111028 NT2. Online update works smooth, and at the end trying again it says finally "no more upgrade" :clapping:
Ipk install from HDD works fine.

Bug list is now shorter:

1. Box freeze on reboot (enigma2 restart works, only the reboot gives freezing).

2. Does not mount my USB stick. (Can see under storage menu but files don't appear under /media/usb. Format with box gives error. Checking says: " /dev/sdb: No such device or address")

I used the image yesterday well (with freeze when I wanted to reboot the box).

Today morning I had some spontaneous reboot when I recorded a movie. But in the afternoon I could record an other movie without reboot. From that time everything works again. I don't understand this unpredictable behavior.

I think for the most part, all the people who have had trouble w/ SSL84 have gone back to SSL82, rather than beat their heads against the wall. Of course you are welcome to keep beating your head...

Just tryied 5 PLI different images, with SSL84, and... no go.

Lots of bugs.

I hope SIM2 can make a new SSL84 for PLI images...

I get this message when I online update. Maybe the bugs not related to ssl, but related to original openpli?

(The hungarian line is: Are you sure want to run update anyway?)


Edit: I did the update, and box rebooted normally way,(what normally, very fast) and no freeze when reboot !!!!!!!
The spontaneous reboots today (I posted before here: link) must have been the replacement of unsuccessful reboots from yesterday.
So box must be working nice now in theory. I tested it, and will report if any issue.

So I have a today updated openpli working well stayed only the not mounting usb stick bug now.

Something is not perfect. I used box all the day without problem, but from an hour random freeze and reboot happen.
Something mistake still must be with this ssl or openpli or driver with sim2.01 !

I watched a movie tonight, and did not touch anything on box, but 2 times box has spontaneous reboot while film ran
Tomorrow I have to flash gj's ssl82 pli version back.
It is not stable for daily use

New bug. If I search frequency where nothing is, box find and put the last seen frequency channels instead of nothing.
So put channels with wrong parameters into channel list.
It is the worst bug, because I am a freq hunter and need a trusty box, so I have to go back to ssl 82 with tricked lines in status file.
That was the last stable version for me.

Yesterday I changed back the OpenPLi-2.1-beta-dm800-20111023-sim201-ssl82.nfi and updated online. Restored my settings and plugins, and now seems everything is stable again.
Must wait for fix with ssl84 openpli images.

From many freq and feed list and from infos an illu m3.

This bug I've written with strange behavior was only with only 1 freq, but that freq is not alive from today.

I received a new ssl84a for testing, it still has the same issues, freezes and reboots.
We have to wait for the SIM2 team to make a fixed SSL.
Use this one !

webinterface (removed tpm triple check)

What does it mean please ? ... I ask the question because I am not enable to connect the webinterface with this image.

In configuration of the webinterface I choose http authentification but my DM800 user/password don't match ...

Any solution ?

The old tpm patch didn't work any longer. The patch I did, was only changing one line, but in the latest version I must patch 3 lines in plugin.py. But all 3 lines are the same...
I just checked on my box, the webinterface is working !
Try default settings, they don't have a username/password and use the default port 80.
