Novice you have to start somewhere

Hello all

On here to learn all about sat, cams,biss,tech minded but new to sat .
Can anyone point me in the right direction to read about the basics so I can get started.

this forum together with others around are (at least to my point of view) the bible for it, just lurk forums, google around for whatever you would like to know and eventually you will find all the answers mate, when you cannot find something, feel free to ask around.
If you have got the passion for satellite, the amount of hours spent in doing this research will be worth it
