Not turning on

hi there,my mate bought his dm800hd to my house to show me the picture quality this morning we turned it on,all we got was a dream multimedia logo on the display it wasnt booting then we switched it back on but nothing.it had been previously been working at my mates house.also it was running nabilosat image.any help would be appreciated.thanx.

does anything appear on the led now when you switch it on, may be a bad flash and need a reflash.

there is someone else on here having the same probs with his aswell, he even tried a new power supply, it comes on for a few mins then goes off again.

try removing the ac lead completely from the back for around 15 mins then reinsert and look at the led at the same time and see if you see a flicker or anything.

is it a clone or an original

the box has been off all day brummie and ive just tried what you had mentioned and yes there was a slight glitch on the display.

can you try another power supply, may be a bad batch, i know for a fact if you insert the ac cord into the back to fast and at regular intervals like straight after each other it wont power up

tried another power supply but still same problem.No display no boot up nothing at all is this box dead or can something be done.thanx.

slightly different to my problem. Mine would boot and show a display, but then turn itself off. Are you trying a 100% fully different power supply? They are in two parts. Just wondering as it could be the fuse in the plug or something silly?

yes stephent,tried a totally new complete power supply but its still the same all i get is a slight flicker in the display and thats it.

If you have not already done it, try to boot without the network cable pluged in.

ive tried everything mentioned still no luck.the fan is working there are 2 lights that come on near the ethernet port but its not booting up and the display is still off.all i get is a slight flicker if i keep switching the on/off switch at the mains plug.thanx.

i had that problem it turn out to be PSU i was using A2 as replacement took it out of the eagle just make sure its A3
