First time boot with Remote not working, is not fixed yet.. sorry!
Reboot at lang screen and all is okay.

* Fix - PANIC situation when DGS Webif is open on pc during bootup.
* Changed - HDD Format of ext2 formatted usb/harddrive even if it was ok.
* Updated - multiboot had some issue with usb sticks above 2GB.
* Updated - multiboot install now works on boxes where usb is mounted as harddrive.
* Fix - multiboot webif on port 81 was using old webif directory.
* Changed - ECM info in webif now showing correct info again.
* Added - newcs 1.63 with updated configs (added 357 mhz to all configs).
* plugins - Added shoutcast 0.51, bitrate 0.4, favpip 1.9.4, fps 0.1.3
* skins - deepblue update 3.5 (new livebanner) Thanks to @Crash
* SVN --- - Recording problem with short HD recordings and 2hr stop fixed.
* - simple livebanner (OSD option) still causing crash.
* - DVBSubtitles now pure white with no banner behind.
* - Signal strength bar is now working again.
* - Media player got FastForward/rewind on divx support now (not .VOB files).
* - blind scan - now default/advanced/reset scan.
* - photoalbum now has background.
* - Maturity rating now as agerating number in livebanner.
* - recording with 1tuner boxes, only channels on same transponder shows
in channel list when 1st recording is active.
* NOTE----- this is a BETA, and people with external usb harddrive
can experience recording issues with 2 HD Channel recordings
(Will be seen as STUDDERING and only a reboot solves it).

I'm totaly surpriced this FW version. It's pice of sh.... !

After installing :
1. REC indicator on front panel still is ON
2. DD as well, on all channels
3. TimeShift don't work
4. Recording don't work. Box is recording, but when I tried see the record - just nothing
5. After this exciting news, I tried to return back on 8630 via NLB Panel - box freezed.

JUST GREAT !

Hi,

For me works great but only after disable the mglauncher.

Both timeshifting and record works perfect not to mention the dvb sub now loking as it should - just white.

Best image for 900 until now. Yes, the rec led is on but for me it is not such a big issue after all. Anyway, this is a beta version.

It's a magic. Tavy we both have the same boxes, installed the same soft and yours works without any problems. I do not use mglauncher too. And tried install 8833 twice - results exactly the same as I wrote. So Tavy could U exactly write, what did you do, that the 8833 works on your box ? Because mine even had problem with responding on remote controller.

I've used standard USB upgrade procedure (after first boot you need to reboot once again to make remote working).

I have restored the db.dat and keys folder, update nlb panel and newcs, changed the skin to deep blue, disable mglaunch and that's it.

Do you use USB or e-Sata HDD?

If the remote doesn't work maybe is a skin issue.

U wrote about standard steps which every1 makes after update. But it doesn't work with the 8833. As U can see above I've had problems with recording and time shift, so obviously those steps have been done.

Anyway in care of my mental health I will not try do istall the 8833 3rd time. Besides, if I installed the 8833 as usually and was problem, but on the 8630 my box works fine, the only probles is in the 8833 soft or config. Am I wrong ?

PS
I even formated my SATA hard drive on 8833, but it didn't help.
In ansver on your question I've internal SATA HDD inside 900HD and cooling fan, to make all clear.

Obviously the steps are the common ones. It is strage what is happening. I supose that the rec/timeshfit is not working on FTA chanels either?
I don't know if it changes something but I'm using the e-Sata HDD and mgcamd client for newcamd server.

At this time is available rev.8873, but after "adventures" with 8833, 8728 and 8718 I give it up.
8630 has what I need and expect - stability !
