NewCS 1.62 does not read card

Hi Friends,

I am setting up a Server-Client network. I used CCCam on server and it reads smartcard fine. But when I tried to switch to NewCS 1.62 and using mgcamd as emu (on the server side), it is not working. The screen is blank as if the card is not read.

I tried many different newcs.xml file on the net but still no luck. My system is DM500S (Cloned), Gemini 4.1/4.2 (tried both images). Smartcard is Irdeto Zeta (V.5+)

Please help.

Howdy,

I am a newbie too, so my knowledge is limited - but have managed to get that combination working. If Newcs is working with the other CAM then it sounds like that part is AOK. It must be in the config of your Magicamd

It uses newcamd.list in usr/keys and mg_cfg in the same directory and the port data provided in newcs.xml

Can you post the contents of these files ? Perhaps the 1st 2 for starters

I have managed to get it working now. Apparently it is just newcs.xml that I did not fully understand. I downloaded the one that works from nabilosat.

It is working now.
