New to this and wish info on building a server

Need pointers to how to build a server and where to get the software ! I have a number of friends and family that have got boxes and are fed up with them not working ! I have a fair bit of IT knowledge and little bit of cable and sat ! Any help with this would be great !

this should get you started.... you will need a cheap tower PC (pentium4 or better), omnikey reader, free dns account ect. you can run O**** on its own or O****/C****. you can of course use a set top box like a VU+ or DMM if you wish.there are loads of guides on the WWW but have a read just to give you an idea whats involved. take a look on w**.streamboard.tv
