[Need a confirm] flashing image using VuUtil ...

Hi All

In short word... i have hard disk (Maxtor 300GB) in NTFS filesystem inside my lovely VuDuo and i tried to reformat it in Ext3 without removing form my box!! but i couldn't

So.. i flash my box using VuUtil and Original Image 4.7 when the flashing finish my screen in box show me this message "continuing..." after that my box got hot !!

what am thinking about is my hard disk is formating now !! right ? and how long it will take ? it's already take a long time maybe 6 Hours !! should i turn the box off or i have to wait ?

last thing i'm thinking to put original image into flash and in USB flash use Various images .. to use the Original Kernel !! does it good idea ? and to help to get more stable box ?

1 ) NTFS filesystem is real bad idea on linux boxes , use Fat instead .

2 ) I have tryed the option with a original image in flash ( 4.6 ) and installed Meoboot , but there was no succes on multiboot .

3 ) If I may suguest a image in flash it would be Dreamelite BH 1.32 here the Meoboot is preinstalled and you can easy add other images to usbstick even images for dreambox 8000 , gemini 4.6 and 4.7 tested ok here , except the front display dont work on dream 8000 images because off the difference dot matrix on VU and LCD on dream

yes i did install gemini 4.7,Oozoon and newnegma2 using BA

do you have any idea about "continuing..." message ... after flashing my box does it now formating in ext3 ??

It seems to me that the box is stuck. I would have, after a few hours switch it off. Take the hard drive out and format it in Ex3. If that is not possible try Fat 32.

you are right my box was stuck... so i turned off the power

original image it's look like does not allow you to use Any multiboot you used meoboot And i tried BA without any succes


and my HDD still in NTFS however i can record ... i tried to record 5 channels in some time some SD/HD and watch anther one total 6 channels in looping mode tuner

So i don't have to formating my HDD to ext3.. Right ??
