NB501 Smart Card Reader Code Type

Hello everybody, I got a NB501 with the embedded Neotion Module and related Smart Card Reader but I do not know the type of encrypt code such a reader support: Viaccess, Seca, Conax, etc.
Is there a way to know with some software tool the coding supported ? I tried to put a Viacess 2 card but it not worked while in other receivers works fine.
I tried the smart card before with the original firmware and then with the last one 21T8 with no success. Is the smart card reader always enabled or do I have to do something ? The softcam EMUs works fine. Thanks in advance

..i think all CAM patch works with Viacess2, somebody's correct me if i'm wrong

I sent already the brucelee cam patches but the card reader do not read my viaccess2 card. The answer is : Invalid Smart Card. Using other receivers the card works.
There are also other 2 cam in the suggested forum link: Bond and Black&Decker.
Do you thing I have to try these two or the brucelee is the best how I read in some forums ? Does Applying such a patch make the card reader all-cam ? I mean accepting all the possible encryption coding so I can insert a cart for seca, then a card for viacess, or conax ? Thanks

The info i have about CAM Patch is that ..

CAM Black & Decker for NEOTION Box 501
S02, FUN, GOLD, HRT, VIA 2 (1.Black/2.Decker)

CAM James Bond for NEOTION Box 501
S01, FUN, GOLD, VIA 2, IRDETO (1.James/2.Bond)

CAM Bruce Lee for NEOTION Box 501
S01, FUN, GOLD, VIA 2, IRDETO, CONAX (1.Bruce/2.Lee)

.. you should try all to see if they work with your card, but for example, you send first the file "James" and then "Bond"

Does anybody use the NB501 at the same time with softcam and also with any official card: viaccess 2, seca, conax, etc, after patching ? If yes is there something to enable in the setup menu or is it sufficient to enter any card with any encrypting coding and the card reader do the rest of the job understanding the coding type and perform the decryption ?

In other words: after the patch the card reader become multicam allowing to enter any card type via, seca, etc or the cardread is not touched by the patches and if it is for example conax it will work just with conax cards ? Thanks

I found that the card reader is: 1x Cardreader (UCAS), Neotioncrypt embedded that is the encrypting system proprietary of Neotion. The question now is: is it possible to patch such a card reader in order to use viaccess 2 cards ?

It is a MCT card. The SIXXX card with six HC channels only in Viaccess 2

My question is more generic and not related to the MCT card.

The question is: Is there anybody using the NB501 with an official card with any encryption system: saca, viaccess, irdeto, etc ?

If Yes how did you patch the hardware behind the smart card reader to allow the decrypting and view of the package of the card?

Sorry I did not see your questions earlier, I have the same problem. Have an upgraded 1000S, its a 501S now,and my Canal digitaal NL card (seca 2)does not work. It is working in other decoders perfect. So why???
And when I put the card in, no reaction at all. So no "invalid" message of the box.
We both need help......

Followed after a lot of trial and error the advice of Skytuga, installed Black and Decker... and now the Canal digital card is working! THXS Skytuga.

Great. Can you please let me know the exact procedure you followed ? I tested my viacess2 card with the Bruce & Lee and it not worked. May be the
Black & Decker patch the dec more appropriately.
Do you know if Black & Decker works also with other encrypting coding ?

My software version is 2.1T7, after trying a lot of Rp and Rk files (unlocking many mainly German channels) I installed with Winupload fist Black and then Decker, waited until good appears, then re-boot, put your card in, with the cupper up, go to a scrambled channel, wait 10 sec, and I got pictures.

Hi searose I saw just yesterday your answer and I tried again but the result was the same: Invalid smart card. I operate in this way:
first I istalled the 2.1T7 then the black and decker without any rp and rk and I tried. Please let me know if I have also to install the rp and rk and if I have to perform some setup on the dec. Thanks

Hmmm, I am not a expert but was lucky. Before I installed the Black and Decker there were already RP and RK files installed. I don't know if by installing B and D, those RP and RK files are deleted? Just try it with the last updated RP and RK's and please tell me what happens. Do you have a real 501 or an updated 1000S. some of the older 1000S need the card with the chip under. It is strange that you get the message invalid. I never got that message? Where do you get that, on the display of the decoder or in the menu? Is infocast active with you? And my last question: is videolink working, and what windows version do you use? Good luck!

It is a real 501 box. I first installed the erase_format file to clean everything on the dec, then I istalled the 2.1T7 firmware, then the black, then the decker. So no rp and rk. Then I made the channel search, at the end I put the dec on the Viaccess 2 channel to descramble, I inserted the Viaccess 2 card and I got "Invalid smart card". I tried again inverting the sens of the card but the result was the same. Strange ? Is there a mechanical sensor to make the dec to understand that a card is inserted ? I know nothing about infocast or videolink. I did not enable/disable such an options. Can you please say something about that ? I left it untouched from the basic setup. I used windows XP. Thanks

Dear Alp, please install the latest RP and RK for Neotionbox 501 that you can find in this forum. And see what happens. Do you have skype? If yes, you can sent me your contactname by private mail (PM). What satellite(s) are you using?

Well, actually I need help. I had Neotionbox 1000s. Now it is 501, and program version is 21T7. But vlink and email menu are now inactive. I tried to put Black&Decker, but failed. It simply does not flash. So what can I do? I would appreciate any help.
