Hi there, just got 800hd box and playing around with now.

Box has Gemini 5.01 image , Boot 76, SIM 2.01 installed

Managed to get system up and running (after many frustrating hours) but have lots questions left.

Having used lots different sat boxes I find the options for motor controls not very helpful although this may be my fault - not knowing how to use correctly...

Is there an option that would show when the motor is moving?

Is there an option to fine tune position when on a channel?

Is there option to show what channels are encrypted in the channel lists.

Perhaps moving to a different image would give more motor control options?

One other question re images - seen lots warnings etc re loading correct image software and I see http://www.sat-universe.com/showthread.php?t=172682 with list but how to tell if clone or not (I take it my box is a clone but would like confirmation before doing anything like load image).

Any replies most welcome - even to call me an idiot... :thum:

Hi there - thanks for input.

Checked 'show positioner movement' - it was set 'yes' and re service setting - I have used this to set up dish.

Unfortunately I do not see any dish position screen at any time - even while at service setting options.

Having never seen another dreambox/image operating I do not know what to expect.

I would have thought that while at any channel - move motor left/right would have been a simple few keystrokes - I can go to service menus but loose picture but see signal strength.

If only I knew how .....

Is there a method of loading 5.0 and keep all settings I have changed or is it matter of having to redo everything?

Also re barry allen - not really sure what this does - should I look deeper into it?

I can't help you because I don't have my Dreambox yet.
I think you need to back up things such as your channel list.
I'm sure you will find a thread here which will help you change your image painlessly.
