Lega Serie A and its strategic media rights advisor Infront Sports & Media, have today announced the tender details for the international audio-visual rights relating to all events of the Serie A, following the Assembly’s unanimous approval on 26 September. The tender was published on the Lega Serie A website today, asking bidders to submit offers by 12.00pm on 15 October 2014.
Briefly, the exclusive international package (for the seasons 2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18) includes the following audio-visual rights related to the Serie A exploitable in territories outside of Italy:
The possible transmission of content via live web broadcast is also foreseen, while the Lega Serie A reserves the right to distribute the footage on a non-exclusive basis for deferred broadcast, for example through the potential implementation of its own YouTube channel.
The commercialisation of all audio-visual rights related to all competitions organised by Lega Serie A will be completed by additional tenders covering exclusive packages concerning the Coppa Italia, the Supercoppa Italia and the Primavera (youth) competitions, and non-exclusive rights packages for the Italian territory which will be launched at a later stage.
