Can anyone report successfully getting Kabelio working on an enigma2 box, and if so what combination of hardware, image and any plugins are they using. Thanks.

Working fine on VU+ DUO 4K SE
-> OpenAtv 7.3
-> Plugin: Common Interface Assignment -> Assign all Kabelio Channels
-> Maybe CI+ Helper if you want to receive TV channels from RTL German Group, not necessary for UK channels

Thanks, very helpful. Are you using a softcam such as oscam in parallel?

I have ordered a Kabelio CI+ module from Amazon to decode the UK channels that are on Hotbird 13E.
I have a Technomate 5402HD M3 with the CI slot.
Will this work with the module I have ordered?
Never used this type of system before so be gentle.
I have the same model TM 5402HD M3 and like you, bought the CI+ module from Amazon. Here in Saint Jean-de-Luz in SW France it works fine, although it took me a bit of time to get a fix on Hotbird 13E (85 cm dish). I used my brother's address in Switzerland to register and activate without any problems. (I think this is just a formality they go through to cover themselves legally and you could basically use any address in Switzerland.) Each time you switch on the unit it flashes a message about initialising the CAM module and then briefly a black screen + 'scrambled channel' but after a second or two it starts working as expected.
I've been using this unit to watch the Satback channels on Intelsat 907 for the last ten years or so. That was free of course, unlike Kabelio, which works out at around 20 euros a month. It's affordable I guess, and I will maintain it over the summer months while we use our caravan. There is also a bonus in having all the German, French and Italian channels. On the whole, I am very happy to have found a replacement for Intelsat.

Renewals are a lot cheaper than €20 per month. 12 months €12.5 per monthScreenshot_20240519-105558.png
