Is it possible to play XVID/DIVX/MP4's off dreambox via network streaming?

I have a DM500S, is it possible to config it so that it will play DIVX/XVID/MP4,etc files via the network from a share on my main computer?

It would be easy this way wouldn't it. I'll not say no as ill most likely be proved worng but the Dreamboxs E1 that is are only going to do MPEG-2.

I just convert all my divx to MPEG-2 with winavi.

You have to stream it as an mpeg to the Dreambox. You can use VLC to convert the divx file to mpg but I found TVersity easier to use.

I have been trying to install tversity on my dreambox 7025 with no luck.I have 3 files:
1.enigma2-plugin-extensions-tversity_0.3.0_mipsel.ipk
2.profiles
3.UPNP_AV_MediaServer_1.0.Dreambox
Can someon tell me where they go please? Or does anyone have the files that will work?

Thanx for the reply ferret.I`ve tried everything including that tutorial.My big problem is,I can`t get VLCF onto my 7025.It`s not in the plugins in my image,Nabiloblackhole.

Unrar FTP to the tmp folder at the root of your image.

The press green yellow and select manual addons IPK. Select the plugin install and reboot.

It should then show on the plugins menu.

What version of blackhole do you use?

Thanx ferret,but this isn`t the vlcf file that I need.Isn`t this just the media player? I need,going by tutorials VLC Frontend.By the way I`m using Blackhole 07.
