Is it posible to install both internal and external(usb) HDD in dm 800s

I have never achived it in a way that i can record to both the usb and internal.

To record I don`t think i`ts posible but I wont to now if I can to install both so I can "play" with umount internal mount external and record from external or mount internal umount external and record from internal because both is imposible. I have install internall in media/hdd but I can not intall the external in media/usb I don`t now why

I see what you mean mate.
Never done this as i have never needed to or seen the point of doing so, but you must have you reasons. If i get a chance over the weekend ill have a play with telnet and see if i can figure out the commands.

Thanks MR Ferret my reasons are simple I have no space in internal HDD so I decided to buy a external HDD 1T. I can see in the devicemanager the HDD but I can not install I have open new folder movie in the media/usb but is no posible to install??
there seems to be only 1x sata port on the motherboard i.e. when installing the internal drive, you have to disconnect the cable for the eSata connector.
In Summary, it would not appear feasible, unless you use an external USB drive. But i don't know how the quality of HD playback would be on a USB drive. (wouldn't waist my time trying to find out to be honest)

Hi how to configure my external usb HDD because in lower usb port I am using multiboot and when I tried to install multiboot in upper slot in the begining but it's not recognized from box.Somebody can help me please with command line for telnet to install HDD.

oh yeh...missed that...
try adding these two lines to your etc/fstab file
/dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1 /media/usb auto defaults 0 0
/dev/scsi/host3/bus0/target0/lun0/part1 /media/usb auto defaults 0 0

u just need to switch betwien them after whit one u want to use

I have try these lines but I have this message: Unable to initialize harddisk Error:mount failed.
can we change something in these lines because in devices manager is:internal:not mounted

I´m trying to telnet this "umount/media/hdd" but I have this message:not found where can be the problem?
:lol: That`s right. I´m still have not install my hdd and I`m in crossroad now
My box is not a clon but I have not updatet the drivers I`ll do now can you help with any link?
