Image with Gbox

Hello All,

Is there a image with Gbox (running) included? so i dont have to struggle to upgrade to my new DM800HD clone. Would be real easy! and if someone can help me, to make this all easyly running, i would be greatfull. Thx in Advanced,

think that is the information u need.
Now i have Gbox running on a DM500.
Internal card on slot is FreeX/dorcel/InXtc

want to like to upgrade to replace my old DM500 by a DM800HD.
as easy as possible.... Thx, in advanced!

Howto Backup DM800HD

One question more, if possible:
before i used flash wizard Pro 6.3 to make a backup of my DBox.
But this dont work anymore on a DB800HD.

I read the following to make a backup for the DM800HD:

----------------------------------------------------
1. Switch power off the dm800 and wait abaout 2 minutes.
2. Press and hold the button next to the small screen and while holding it plug in the power to the dm800.
----------------------------------------------------

My dreambox dont have a button next to the small screen?????

How can i make a backup (to restore if i have problems with it?

you dont have a power button on the front...??? you need to install a backup plugin like GP2 or GP3 Flash backup this backs up your image and all your settings etc!, just make sure you download the correct one for your sim though.

The text:

they mean the power button????
If that is true, then i am sure i can make a backup. I will try!

yes the power button insert the power hold the power button in, you will STOP and an ip address on the led screen, put that ip into your url and you will see the flashing page, click on firmware upgrade,then browse and locate the image, then click on flash wait until it gets to 100% done then press the power button and it will reboot.

Backup Flash

Hello Brummie,

I make a Flash backup. Real great and gets real fast.
BUT.............

this is text that is displayed on the page:

You can download your current flash contents (64 MB) here, but please don't expect to be able to flash it back. It's merely a debugging feature.

Uhmm, i think u will know my next question....? or not....
If i make a backup, how do i restore it? U can only restore a *.nfi file. And my backup doesnt have any extension....
Do i have to give my my backup a "nfi" extension to restore it?
Else i dont get the picture of making a backup ... for nothing.
