With the new dm800 ssl84 clone images is it now safe and possible to software update safely through image now we are using original drivers.

No mate online updates for clones should not be done, on reboot your image will most likely freeze. The only exception seems to be OpenPLI.

Openpli freezes also when reboot, but update is success.
Just reboot freeze happen.
