Hi,

I'm a new in this area. Just bought that model, and completely confused :
1. the model has USB 2.0 and RS232 ports, but the manual says that to upgrade the software, use the later. Is there a problem if I use the USB one ?
2. under Humax Files sub-forum, can I use the ToH firmwares, keys bin, PCMT tables, and Humax Setting for this model ? Are they specific Humax 5400 only?
4. some emu support the 'auto-update'. Is there one for this model ?
5. what are this setting posted by Gio@Gio or Cyrus Team ?

Can't help you on all counts but I can tell you that toh firmware and most of the stuff you can see in humax section is exclusive to 5400. Humax usually doesn't provide any unofficial support for their boxes and distance the company from pirate viewing. So none of the newer models have any emu available so you are pretty much limited to using some cam inside the box to decrypt anything other then FTA.

It is a good receiver to the recording of films as well as in movement between encrypted channels where the advantage of speed

It basically depends on the compact cams and not emu or software and keys.bin

It contains

cam irdeto compact and 2 cam additional inputs for all encryption systems




For your query

1.no problem if you used USB 2.0 and RS232 ports
2.you cant use the ToH , keys bin, PCMT tables, and Humax Setting for this model for these just humax 5400 cus
this model does not need to because it depends on the cams

3.no just humax 5400

4.as well as special humax 5400 is useful update frequency
