How to tell the difference between an Original or Clone Dreambox???

Very difficult these days best bet is to take lid off and look at the sim card then you can be sure.

if its a HD dreambox its very easy indeed ,
Goto Menu> plugins and Run Genuine Dreambox plugin

Checking SIM Card can and will void any warranty by opening the box up .

if it was bought under €300 and is a HD Dreambox then its certainly gonna be a clone .

I have no tax where i live. Also as i mentioned in my other thread, i have a feeling that my satellite guy has cheated me with a clone and said it was Original German as i requested.

I posted pics to make it easier for others to see. I noticed it says "Ethemet" instead of "Ethernet" on pic 3. Does that mean its a clone with wrong spelling?

That picture clearly tells you your the box is a sim 2 clone.

Well our not going the be able to use original images or drivers with a sim2 sim.

Ive had clones outlive a real 800hd but generally clones can be built from cheaper components.

What is really worrying is the manufacturers can not even spell ethernet !
