Fitting F-Connectors to Coaxial Cables
A step-by-step guide.
1. First cut the cable to the required length.
2. Strip away approximately 15mm of outer insulation. Gather the strands of copper braid together and wind them back around the outer insulation.
3. Strip away about half of the inner insulation around the inner copper wire. Check that none of the copper braid touches the inner copper wire*.
4. Feed the inner copper wire through the F-connector and screw clockwise to tighten it.
5. Cut off the inner copper wire so it extends 3mm beyond the plug body.
