How do I stop cccam 2.1.2 on darkstar 2

Im using Darkstar 2 exclusive with cccam 2.1.2 but want to put on 2.1.3. I cant see any way of stopping the cam to do this. Is there any way.

press the blue button and change from cccam to common interface and press the green button to save.

Doesnt work Brummie, there isnt a common interface installed, probably because the image came preinstalled with cccam 2.1.2.

well just install the 2.1.3 nab.tgz, ftp it to tmp then do a manuall install by pressing the yellow button twice and choose manuall install, after that you can delete 2.1.2 from delete addons from the same menu

That worked perfectly as soon as I realised that rebooting flushed the tmp folder.
I couldnt delete 2.1.2 though as the only one deletable is 2.1.3.
Still 2.1.3 is installed.

To changed the display time form 6 secs do this

Menu-setup-system settings-osd settings

Press red button then on top option use the < button on remote to change to desired time.

How do I remove all the old keys from the box and any suggestions for keys

I think it is better to stick to one type of keys that way when you send new keys over all the files are overwritten. If you use different key sets some files get left behind and not replaced when new keys are transfered.

Stick to Minicat keys as the guy is a legend and use this guide to transfer.

Just one problem, I downloaded minicats keys but they dont have many of he files that you selected on right hand side of DCC for transferring to keys file on box.
Satans bundle do have them all. Can I use these instead

Use the minicats key bundle mate not the mgcamd keys. Minincats are the best keys and are kept upto date! Use satan keys sure but those keys are not updated as quick.

Dont worry about what i did in the guide lol I will have used anything

If you have Still trouble to open Seca go to the CCcam.config
scroll Down to Seca Handler set this to:
SECA HANDLER: 4
CCcam is set by Default to Seca Handler 1 and this gives you the Trouble for Rai.

Is smartcam.config the one I need as its the only one there. I tried SECA HANDLER: 4 in it but no joy Rai4.

No mate do not touch the smartcam config, that controls which cam is active etc.

Are you sure you have the correct channel details for Ria4 frequency fec etc.

OK put smartcam.config back to original. Frequency and fec are correct and the epg is being detected. Where is the CCcam.config file as I cant find that.

If you can not find the cccam.cfg mate then that could be your problem.

It is located in var/etc if it is not there your have loaded a bin only version of CCcam and what you need is the full or complete version.

You need the config as there is a line in there to tell cccam where to find the softcam/keys for it to use.

example

SOFTKEY FILE : /var/keys/SoftCam.Key
