Hi,
I am a newbie too.. Would this apply to my long forgotten Humax CRCI 5500+ ? I know it has a card slot and a cam slot and that it only has Cryptoworks imbeded. I need to watch DigiTV and I know that is on Intelsat and on Nagravision or Nagra2. Would I be able to make my receiver do this or do I need to purchase additional equipment (e.g. cam programmer, card, etc...) ? Many thanks for your help..

I have same 5400Z for the last 4 years
never retired
I enjoy it really
Specially sharing business (newcamd + Gbox)

I have humax ir free and I would like to know If I can flash my box with toh software
I search and I have found this link

But I dont know what kind of software is that have anyone try it?
Also there is any channel editor for this model?
Actually the box work fine with original card but if I use home splitter didnt recognize the card.
So I think is irdeto module firmware the problem

Will the files go straight on it or do I need something else first?

download any Hot files (patch without +) and the upgrade will go
smooth.

Thank you. Would you please guide me step by step on how to do it because I do not want to damage my receiver. Where can I get the software for it? I live in Sydney Australia and I want softcams for channels beaming to Sydney.
