HELP with dreamboxedit

I'm trying to organize my channel list so that

MTV1 is channel #1
MTV2 is channel #2
TV2 is channel #3
RTL is channel #4
CNN is channel #5

and so on so forth

*i started out by clicking ftp download channel list from dreambox.

i did a test modify of the first 3 channels and changed their channel number in the ch.nr. column to 1,2,3

to test it, i click on ftp and pressed upload to dreambox, then i rebooted the dreambox from menu->shutdown->reboot now

when it rebooted, eurosport is channel 1, even though it is supposed to be channel 2350 or something...

what am i doing wrong?

PS: I must add that when I do a satellite scan, some of the channels listed on lyngsat.com do not show up ! (I'm missing playboy channel for example)

You should organize your channels in order you want them in bouquets.
As for lyngsat, not everything they have on their site is 100% correct at any given time.

That's the successor of dreamboxedit.

In reference to lyngsat. I've read some sites where they list what channels are on digitv.

I am missing playboy and HBO comedy. I know those are on it, so how can I manually add them to the channels list if the auto-scan doesnt pic them up?

There is no need to manually add them. Playboy I believe is on a same channel as Travel. Playboy transmits from 23-04, rest of the day it is Travel.
As for Hbo Comedy you can do manual transponder scan of 12563 V, SR 27500
FEC 3/4. It should be there if you got a signal.
