help with dreambox edit channel list please

Hi every one
I need your advice please, I have followed tutorial but when I go back to the main screen channel list loaded .I only see is EuroBird Astra 28 and no other satellites TV packages, what have I done wrong please. What happened I lost all the satellite transponders along with all the TV channels that went with them from EuroBird Astra 28 to Hispasat 1C/1D at 30.0°W .I am on so much medication that I have some how lost every channel, the dish is on EuroBird 28 and so I downloaded all the channels for that satellite .But when I try to use dreambox edit I only see those channels on the main page and no other satellite channels from any where else, I need your help and advice please so much.

What am I doing wrong do I have to delete the channels that’s already on the dreambox first before I can put the other channels on. , I need your help please.

What setting are you editing a backup of the settings on you PC or a groups setting before you load them?

To be honest im not sure i understand your problem fully, explain more what settings your editing and what your trying to remover from those settings.

Many thanks Ferret for your reply, I would like to put a channel update on the box. I have the dreambox edit and one other file that says it has all the transponders from Astra 28 to Hispasat 30w, at the moment the only channels I have is Astra 28 on the box. I cannot get the Edit program to recognize the file have I with the channels on, when I Select Open In the Select Directory window - from the dropdown list - and find and select the and the settings folder and I then press OK the settings I can see is only what’s already on my box.
Do I have to do something with the file I downloaded with the channels on, or is there another file you can sir jest that I should try please, that will have the channels I need
I am so sorry m8 if what I am saying doesn’t make sense please be patient with me, sinse the car accident I was in lots of things don’t come easy to me any more.
All I want is to be able to do is to get all the channels I have lost back on my box, I have followed your guide as best as I can .Can you please let me know where I can find a file with all the channels on, if you could guide me step by step I am sure I could do it with your help please.

download some settings from here http://www.sat-universe.com/forumdisplay.php?f=34 E1 are for 500 600 7000 7020 and other clone dreamboxes, E2 is for 7025 500HD 800HD and 8000HD.

when you have downloaded and unzipped them to your desktop, open them with Dreambox Edit, and delete the sats you dont want, by right clicking on any channel name and choose delete satellite, you will see the full available list, just highlite and press ok to confirm delete, do this for all you want to get rid of, then you must save the settings by clicking on the save icon at the top.

now in options/profilies set the user name password and ip of your reciever, and also the path to save them, for E1 boxes select satellite reciever, for E2 boxes select new enigma2 settings and save.

now click on FTP icon at the top of the screen, then click on send files to dreambox, when its finished either reboot your reciever or just click or reload settings.
