I'm very new to all this and would really appreciate some help!

I have just bought a Firedtv receiver cas 3 programmer and a dragon loader card programmed with predasaur 2.29. my satellite points to astra 28.2d I get over a thousand channels but a lot of the channels I'd like to watch are blocked like channel4 HD I can watch BBCHD as this is not encripted.

when i go into my satelite menu and select smartcard it constanly says smartcard unknown not decoding. not too sure what to do, have spent the last day searching forums but still none the wiser.

u dont say what smartcard u have, if ur trying to get the box to rec the loader card ,it wont toll u load it with a file,.

if its not an official SKY or FREESAT card you wont get anything (except for the Free To Air channels, and MTV Trax using the Constant Control Word within the Predasarus file*).

Where did you get CAM what were you told? You need to be Motorised (certainly not just 28.2E reception) to get the full benefits of Dragon CAM.

*depending on which version of the 2.29 file you have.

you save you have a dragon loader card with pred. 229 loaded on it. do you also have a dragon cam as well as the card?

I got the TREX 4.6 cam from ebay I picked up info from forums 2+2=6 all I really want to view is Channel 4HD itvHD, I can pick up BBCHD at the moment. I'm not sure what else I have to load onto the dragon loader card or if i would be better off just getting another card. I just wanted to avoid having to pay a subscription to view HD terrestrial channels. thanks

have you loaded pred 229 onto the 4.6 or just inserted the loader card into the 4,6?

I have loaded pred 2.29 onto the loader card and have loaded this onto the trex 4.6 cam I have loaded all this info onto my sat receiver removed the loader card and have swithced off the sat reciever and restarted it, my sat reciever informs me Pred 2.29 is loaded and gives me 5 options, smartcard, Debug, Security update, settings and exit. I have performed a security update and I have gone into debug where the options are Secure, irduhto, sucka negravision, ohlaladin and viyuckses. All these have submenus with lots of keys and codes already installed. not too sure what else i am suppose to do. all I really want to receive are the channel 4 HD ITVHD. any ideas? thanks

as EMPB states earlier in the post, to get these specific channels you will need an official card.
sounds like you loaded the cam ok for other channels available on other satetlites.

I am having same problem as crislobina. ON 13 and 19 only sailing channel and some french motor channel opens. My cam was working but dont any more. Tried more than a 100 *.dra files.

Motorised is (and has always been) the best way to go in this hobby. Dragon/T-Rex CAMs are the best for public hacks but in terms of whats open the Diablo CAM gives it a good kicking at the moment.

19.2E 12692H ORF Channels, 12012V TRACETV, 11817V MEZZO, 12012V Motors, 12324V Yacht+Sail Ch, 12012V France2/3, 12168V France4, 12207V France5.

best public hack at the moment is 1W RSCDigiTV in Nagra2 but they also use Nagra3 and Nagra2 will be switched off at somepoint.

13E TPS left/leaving 13E to merge with CanalSat on 19.2E new encryption Via2.5/6
19.2E Premiere switched off Nagra2
13E Cyfrowy Polsat switched off Nagra2

rather than just downloading the latest file update and thinking your cam is broken - have a look at other sections of the forum these changes have effected all supports not just Dragon/T-Rex CAM, also my list is up to* date in my thread it does not promise things will open that dont.

*full test carried out every 3-6 weeks, each time something updated that something is tested before upload

Has already been said you wont get anything on 28.2/5E except MTV Trax for free (and the Free to Air Services) and you will only get the channels listed above on 13E & 19.2E, stop with the pointless posts please.

The facts and correct information have already been posted.

These facts can not be changed simply because you dont like them.
