Hello M8. I has the same problem with mine after owning it for 3 months,I did try various 131,132 upgrades but no luck however a factory reset works well. All you have done is temporarily knackered the bootloader and a factory rest restores it.........Regards N.:thum:

It should come with an image already on it. When you first switched on, did you get the menu asking for language, etc? If so that is the installed image running. Best to get it working before trying to update the image.

Well, you've got an image running ( If you go Information - System Information it'll tell you which one ). Have you got a motorized or multi-lnb system? If you've set up the lnb parameters correctly and tried to scan a satellite and get nothing, then either your tuner is faulty or the lnb, cabling, or dish are not correct. Do you get signals if you connect another receiver?

Guys it near impossible to "break" a linux receiver.

If you get er10 message then try this.

get the image you want but when you rename it do not rename it usb_update.img

rename it usb_update

Then turn power off insert usb stick turn power back on at the same time make sure you have standby button pressed the message booting will come up then you will get the message USB UPGRADE now let go of standby and leave it until you get the message DONE on the lcd.

Hi there did you try to boot from USB flash stick ?? did you change the name to usb_update.img
???
I got an err10 with the original name but changing the name solved that.
Sorry about this I left the reply for too long to post. apparently many ppl replied the same before me.
good luck with your problem

cmpw11,

That's what mine arrived with and should work alright. It sounds to me as if you have a fixed dish. Is it pointed at Astra2 at 28.2E or the old Sky satellite Astra1 at 19.2E? In the Service Searching - Satellite Configuration menu have you set up the lnb parameters for this satellite?

Have you then done a channel scan?

I found the manual wasn't too clear on this.

Depends on what lnb you have. Most common these days is a universal lnb, so try univ_lnb, local frequency 9750/10600, lnb power on, 22KHz on.
