HBO comes to Canal Digitaal, Glashart, Vodafone

The Dutch HBO multiplex will become available on three new platforms in the Netherlands: via DTH provider CanalDigitaal, and fibre network operators Glashart Media and Vodafone TV.
The offer includes the SD channels, as well as the HD versions of the three Dutch language channels, HBO, HBO 2 and HBO 3. HBO launches on Glashart Media and Vodafone TV on Septmeber 25, to be followed on October 1 on Canal Digitaal Satelliet.
Original HBO programming, such as Boardwalk Empire and Treme, is available on the Dutch channels within 24 hours of its original US broadcast. Feature movies for the coming months include Nova Zembla, Arthur, The Adventures of Tintin and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.
The streaming HBO TV Everywhere service HBO Go will also be available to subscribers on the three platforms. It offers content to be viewed on computers, laptops, iPads, iPhones, iPods touch and newer Android devices. HBO On Demand will only be available to Glashart and Vodafone subscribers.
HBO is a joint venture in the Netherlands with Ziggo. Until now the HBO channels have been available on the Ziggo, KPN, Telfort and XS4AL networks.
