gamma in dreambox

is it possible to run a gamma in front cardsocket of a dreambox 500 with pli on it

and the reader has to be able to do 6.00 MHZ as well.

here is what i did

Tested by myself and working

Step by step


1. external serial reader at 6 Mhz. Keep in mind, once programmed, the card cannot be read in the internal card reader of the eagle

2. Valid file. You need a working file for the target bouquet.

3. Gamma Loader. Use the Gamma Loader to connect to the card and program it. Don't worry if you get no ATR. Just reconnect and try again.

4. Program it.

5. CCCam: you need this in the cfg file:

PHOENIX READER PATH : /dev/tts/0

SMARTCARD CLOCK FREQUENCY: /dev/tts/0 6000000

B: /dev/tts/0 00

CAMKEY: /dev/tts/0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

CAMDATA: /dev/tts/0 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

TRY ALL CHIDS : /dev/tts/0

6. Put the programmed card in the serial reader, turn on CCCam, switch to a channel of the target bouquet, leave it on a few minutes until image appears. Voilà.

7. Sit back and enjoy.

what card reader are you using joe?

a 17 euro smartmouse serial reader i got from germany.

I tried a few more, expensive ones before i found this one

just ordered one. is it ok using the usb to power the reader or do you use an external power supply?

from what i can see uanwen u use dm 7025.
R u sure that the gamma works on 7025?
in case of yes plz tell me how?because i have the same DM

yep, i do use a 7025. apparently gamma can only be read in an external card reader, as mentioned above. i couldn´t get the one i bought to work. just got a smargo usb smartcard reader this week. will let you know how i get on.

hi, gamma card works with dm500 and dm7020 si with infinity usb phoenix external card reader/programmer ( i am under gbox) gbox R142 Final....

here what gbox.cfg must contain :

Gamma on cccam

I use CCcam and i have dreambox 7020 and ext.reader dynamite plus all work very good and stable!!!
