Amazing, after months of trying to get these channels with my expensive genuine DM8000 with no luck, I connect a cheap clone 500HD and lo and behold all channels scan in ok and open. :eek:

What I don't understand is both are using a BCM4505 tuner :confused:

Hi Bingobill.

What image do you use for the clone 500HD?
And did you have to manually enter some of the
pmt, sid, vpid and apid?

That's because PMT was on. Now it's off again today. 99% chance it's not working for you now.

Strange. Yesterday early evening it was working on DVB Dream. I had 11dB SNR according to Crazyscan with my Technotrend S2-1600. Later on i realised i could not lock the frequency anymore neither from DVB Dream nor from Transedit. Latter did not let me make an analysis. Today same situation. The Analysis window stays empty. At the same time Crazyscan and EBS Pro can lock it and analyze its content over TS Reader.

What the hell have they changed ?

i use vu+uno original with mgcamd 1.38 running b.h.1.7.8 and @serjoga softcam and vu+solo c.e. running mgcamd 1.38 and @serjoga softcam and b.h. 1.7.2 and all the bbc channels clear and radio and itv hd/c4hd but the stv hd,s4chd,utvhd dont clear. sometimes the channel doesnt open and i have to start the cam with blue button, even auto-cam doesnt work either although i havent tried any other cam emulator.. eg. evocamd,scam,oscamymod,gbox ect ect. has anyone tried using fixed control words using cccam? regards mdt

Take a look at the TS Analyzer screenshots. There you can see that STV HD, S4C HD, UTV HD are not transmitting and some radios as well.

Here Crazyscan and EBS Pro lock it at 8.5dB SNR and BER=0 (almost freezing rain of low intensity) but neither Transedit nor DVB Dream can lock it. TS Reader instead shows the channels still active as before.

lost the signal yesterday,but everything clearing again on vu+solo b.h.178.
tenerife 1 meter dish ,inverto
black ultra lnb.

I am not sure about that, sorry. Of course DVB-S2 signals up to 45000 MS/s should be supported. If you've got some special in mind we could take a look at the technical specifications. But think about it if you would really prefer a card or a standalone receiver.

the dreambox 800 e.g. has the following specification:

Demodulation DVB-S (QPSK); DVB-S2 (8PSK,QPSK)
Symbolrate DVB-S: 2 ... 45 Mbaud/s, SCPC/ MCPC
DVB-S2: 10 - 31 Mbaud/s (8PSK) , 10 - 30 Mbaud/s (QPSK)
