Fausto as a Server?

There is nothing difficult in Fausto once you take the time and read.Lots of examples around.
It only becomes difficult for people that dont have a clue and dont want to read.

As snakie say's Fausto is easy to use.

Examples in the .txt files itself once Fausto is installed (for CCCam, Newcamd and other protocols).

Examples in ArBaBe's and my Diablo/Fausto(FE) key.bin zip folders.

i think im going to stick with fausto.ive been doing some reading the only thing i want to know do i open ports on my router.or just make nline ie
N: 192.168.xx.xx (ip for stb)
(10000)is this provider or port 0102030405060708091011121314 {0100/003315 003311}

thats the only thing im not sure about do i op port for all providers for the nline that goes in my cccam config thanks.

inside fausto you will create the N line with the format as:
N: ip_of_pc_running_fausto port_that_you_want_the_server_to_listen deskey {caid/providers}

So for your question,use 0.0.0.0 or 192.168.x.x ,where x.x denotes the ip of your pc inside your lan.
You dont need to open ports on router unless you want someone from the internet to connect on you.

This is an example of the least needed in FaustoServers.cfg for a share of jsc :
N: 0.0.0.0 10000 0102030405060708091011121314 {0603/000000}
U: user user

As you can see in my test pc i use 0.0.0.0
In your pc might not be the case,so you can use the 192.168.x.x (replace x.x with the correct lan range)

thanks snakie for your reply so where dummy is thats user and password am i right? because at the end of fausto server config its got U: dummy dummy so that should be the same with each nline i use ie user and password thanks.
