First of all i apologize if this question has been answered before but i wasn't able to find a clear answer so i'm creating a new topic !
1) Which is the fastest VGA card to FIND a CW (mostly interested in V1 tables) ??
From what i've read the more Cuda cores doesn't mean that the card is necessarily faster than an older one with less Cuda cores.. correct ?
So, which one is the fastest in FINDING a CW on V1 tables ??
If it's the Titan or 1080 gtx, well..let's exclude them from the list as their price is too high.. Can you share your experience please ?
2) Which is the fastest VGA card to GENERATE V1 chains ??
From what i've read the most discussed card is the old 580 GTX which is very fast until the Pascal cards came out. Someone posted that his 1070 GTX is extra fast (approx. 100000 KCW/sec) in a topic where the issue was that the CSA rainbow tool didn't recognize the new Pascal cards.
So, can you share your experience on this matter please ?
3) A more general question. How exactly a card's power is calculated in our situation ? I mean .. a card has 'X' cuda cores, 'Y' graphics clock speed, 'Z' processor clock speed and 'K' memory clock speed..
What is the actually formula/equation whose result the CSA Rainbow tool looks at and based on it we have the output of it's actual power for a)finding a CW and b)generating chain files ?
For example, is it : TotalPower = cudaCores * graphics clock speed ??
Do we have any clue on how it is calculated ?
I hope you get what i mean
My main consideration is the speed on FINDING a CW but i'm also asking the 2nd question as i've already created a topic.
P.S : Let's take for granted that we use SSD drives and not HDD.
