I tested the instructions below on AZBox HD and got 35Mb
memory free.

This is the original post in regards DM800se but procedure is identical

I tested this on Openpli 3.0 but probably would work on any image.
It is based on an idea I picked up from OpenPli discussion list.

I suggest use of USB stick. Probably can be done on hdd too but I did not test it

Use DCC and navigate to

1) usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions
2) media/usb/site-packages /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages

Right click on each folder and select "local copy" option
Wait....(up to 15 min if you have a big drive) and select your USB drive.
Obvious press OK and wait to copy the files.

Rename the old folder in location and create a simlink to new one.

Extensions ->media/usb/Extensions
site-packages->media/usb/site-packages

Open a second DCC screen and compare size, file structure attributes.
Test the simlink by clicking on it - must take you to new folder.
Delete the old renamed folder

Reboot and ....enjoy 17 Mb of free memory plus unlimited nr of extensions
on your new location.

Do not be surprise if pli will install extra in new location after reboot.
Is just using its auto install feature.

This can be easy converted in an IPK but I don't have the knowledge.
You can use automatic update feature too.

Good luck

And the best solution is also to use :

Cacheflush

Autoswap

Those three extensions working together give a new life to azbox ;)

It has to be said, though, that FE has its own perils... Complications are there and sometimes it all goes tits up...

SWAP is necessary, at least with huge updates... OpenPLi are advising against it, as unnecessary...

Cache flush is bad, from my experience, as it is needed in CS and other activities...
