ERR 79 error message - how to resolve

I have somehow corrupted some files and I get the ERR 79 message on my 9000 on boot up. I have done the following so far to solve the problem. I have read on some posts that i have to reflash image. Tried to do this, made sure usb stick was fat32 and name of file usb_update.img I press the right buttons at the beginning and I get a message MOUNT USB and then the box shows ERR 79. A bit confused - what can I / should I do

Hi,

If you loaded a new software version then error79 can appear as the database is the wrong version . This happens if you down load via Relook P.C. edior your old db.dat file . You have to rename the db.dat to db.dat.edited then reboot .

Update.

Used PCeditor

1. tools/exported your original db.dat old version eg. R9274 . This will save as .csv .

2. Then Tool/Create new database select new version R11421 .

3.Then import the created saved R9274 .csv data base you created earlier. The converstion can take 20 mins on your P.C. so be patient .You will see writing at the bottom of the tool bar .

4. Once completed up load new R11421 data base the receiver.
