dvi to hdmi

i have a small problem next door neighbour dm800hd was working fine up to last night now no picture no sound on dvi to hdmi ,hdmi to hdmi works fine we phone sony they were no help
dm works ok on my tv


any ideas

do you want to say that the same box with the same cable works on your tv but not on your neighbours?

not only the same but two boxes things that just don't make sense
at all, were it used to work but don't anymore,but reconise hdmi to hdmi

Looks like TV problem.
I hope that your friends TV is under warrenty.
I had a similar problem on an LCD screen from another supplier.
They fixed it in a day.

i don't thing is tv problem because STB hdmi to hdmi works. tv may need update maybe somebody on forum had this problem

Makes no sense. The 800 has no HDMI output.

That's right, but there's a DVI2HDMI-Cable included in the original package. If not, a simple DVI2HDMI-Adapter (costs less than 3 Euros) will do it. It works well with DM800 to a Samsung Full-HD Screen including sound (no other sound cable is needed!)

its not dm800 problem its tv one dvi to tv used to work but Doesn't anymore hdmi to hmdi on any stb still works but not dvi to hdmi i hope this is clear

Just an idea,
Try another DVI to HDMI cable.
