dm800 not detect usb hard

hi
i instal usb hard disk in clone dm but dm not detect
hard is wd
firs i format in fat32 in window7 i also remove internal sata hard and usb then instal this but not show usb hard in dreamelite and newdream elite 1.33d v3 sim2.1 any solotion?

Does the hard drive have a external power supply ?

I think because of the internal drive previously used that will still be mounted on your fstab.

You could try pop the sats drive back in unmount it and then try the usb one again. The DReam ellite image is poor for mounting and device recognition.

External hard drives powered from USB only do cause problems the 800 does not have enough power to cope with them.

Well you already have internal sata drive so even if you get a powered usb drive it is tricky to mount the 2 together.

Why do you what a external hard drive as well as the internal?

i copy movie on usb stic in window its play on dm no need to copy movie with dcc now i want big usb thats y i need usb hdd

I suggest you just stick the movies onto another network accessible drive then mount that on the DM. You can also stream to the DM using VLC.

I can confirm that usb powered Harddisk and an external powered usb hub works great. No problem.

i test brand new clone sim2.1 recever and it work
