dm800se a8p sim.. dead lcd

was watching my box suddenly it froze,switched of and back on..and lcd display is dead,cant get ip to flash by browser,tried dreamup no joy still, I have no eternet lights working fan isn't running, opened the box up can only see blue light on and red lights on although 1 of them isn't lighting up out of the 5 small red lights,also green tuner light is working is my box knackered, btw sometimes I can get the dream multimedia logo on lcd but thats all if I leave the box off for about 15 mins..

try another power supply maybe its not putting out enough juice

tried that brummie my power supply from my other dm800hd upstairs, and still no joy m8.

Sound like the CPU is dead or dying to me.

So will I need a new box or can it be repaired ferret

I doubt anyone would attempt repair other than DMM if it was an original box.

How much would a new motherboard cost m8

Thanks zarpa ill look into it m8.cant understand why my dm800se packed in for its just over a year old.but my other dm800hd is still going strong and I have it 5years.both are clones.and theres me thinking I was buying a better box in the dm800se lol

I don't like the 800se anyway.for me the best is 8000 its a great dreambox it have many ports in back of box but its kinda expensive

Well im getting a vu solo2 original soon.. as they seem to be one of the best boxes out there at the moment reading all the reviews about them. As I dont fancy going down the dm clone root anymore.and are good value for money at the moment.just have to wait till my sis gets back from her hols.so I can order it on her debit card lol..

Tried everything frazier.as I say m8 im post 1.i cannot connect to the box..by browser or dreamup.even if I leave it of for days.

if you get to see the multimedia logo and IP address, you can put the device in "stop" mode. Now, you can flash a new image from the web interface
