I did buy a new DM800SE here before christmas, this was one of the boxes with wrong fan installed, some of these boxes had a fan that was impossible to adjust in any software.. (like fancontrol2) etc.
The RPM of the fan will not drop down under 3500 RPM wich is of course is a little noisy...
I am hoing now to order new fans for the box, and I found some new ones..
My question is:
Is it possible to run this box without any fan, like I did with a lot of DM800HD boxes, without any special problem..
I know it is not recommended but the DM800HDSE box is even bigger then the DM800 box, I should think that it also could work without fan like DM800HD did?
What do u guys think?
I just want a serious opinion, will the box/prosessor handle it, if u turn it on every night when u dont use it, and dont sit on HD channels all time.. and dont use HDD in box at all?
Anyone that have any experience, my girlfriend get crazy of the fan noise..
