I experience this guys... in my dmt8000 clone the remote is stupid.. i mean in no way its working correctly. It lags .. it is slow in response even if i see the light on it flash really fast the box is dont want to react accordingly to the commands. I tested the clone with an old DM original remote from a 7020 and is working rock solid so.. my question is that if there is any setting i can alter in the box to make the control of the clone to work better or the better is to throw it away and buy an original remote for the 8000 because this is bracking my nerves really.

Honestly this is one of the things that i prefer in my VU .. i mean VU remote is damn fast and its slim and also has more buttons than any DM remote..

No mate no way of setting it, just some clone remotes are crap i had the same problem you described with one buttons also felt spongy. Not all clone remotes feel like that though ive got one that is equal to my original.
