DM600 problem flashing image

Hi to all, I have a problem with my dm600.
It was in standby mode and it turned itself on but just stays on "loading enigma" screen. It won't do anything,I have tried telnet it to restart and it still stays on the "loading enigma" screen.
I have tried flashing a new image and it says "flashing failed(!!! 002 CRC failed)box will be unusable now!!" and it is unusable.
I was using Gemini 4.40. I have tried a standard image and it still says the same message.Please can anybody help me!!:mecry:

can you get to the menu and try do a factory reset.

if its a clone it could be the nasty work of gemini

the only other thing is to flash it with dreamup and a serial null modem cable

I hope not,but this could be a sign of a defective flash Rome in the box,
however, the problem can be serial port on the computer .
Do you have the option to flash the box with another PC and dreamup?

I will try this, the box is still under guarantee so I can send it back, but I will have a play first. Thanks for your reply

If a image is corrupted then it is not always possible to reflash via network.

In this case use DreamUp and a null moden cable.

I am using dream up and a null cable. I can't do anything with the box. I have tried again to flash a dream image and gemini image, but it is still the same. It is not a clone, It gets right the end of flashing where it says:-

19:25:09 box type: DM600PVR
19:26:03 Calculating checksum...
19:26:04 Uploading file to box...
19:27:15 box is flashing from its memory...
19:27:16 Flashing failed (!!! 002 CRC failed), box will be unusable now!!

Any help will be appreciated, Thanks for all your help

Try this m8 it may work!

Download DreamUP 1.3.3.2
Open DreamUp
Select Extras From task bar.
Then select remove bad sectors!

I tried that still the same, thanks m8 for your help.
I'm sending it back, I only bought it in May, so I hope they will replace or repair it. Thanks again, all of you with your suggestions.:thum:

ferret you are a life saver m8, i was trying the bad sector bit using the version by forehick and natas and no joy, went to my old laptop and tried the version i used for 500s and it worked. thank you so much

just to add this was on a 800 clone, i was so excited when i was typing i forgot to say which box lol
