dm500s keeps starting in (3) file mode then stops

i have dm500s, when i turn it on it starts in file mode, when i press a button it goes to reboot, then restarts in file mode again.
even when (1)tv mode is selected, it just reboots then goes into file mode again.
i have reflashed, and tried different images, but this still happens eventually, after it has been turned off and on again.
any help or pointers or suggestions appreciated.

did you flash it with dreamup and a null modem cable, if not flash it this way and flash erase first.

which image you are using now m8.

When you select TV mode does it work in that mode?

If it does then all you need to do is a soft reboot fort it to remember to boot in TV mode.

Menu-option5 reboot now.

If it still doing this after a reflash then it is possible you have a tuner fault and this is why it can not use TV mode.
