im running a DM500s on an extra feed from a quad LNB to the upstairs bedroom which is best part of 20m of cable away from the motor and dish.

when i go to move the motor there doesnt seem to be enough juice to turn the stab HH120 motor and just says moving but it doesnt go no were and same when you try to manually move it in motor set up.

when i bring the box downstairs, back to the living room TV (5m of cable away from the dish) there's no problem moving the dish.

is there anyway i can boost the power to the motor when im using the box upstairs ?.

But only one of those cables is passing through the motor. Unless you change cables at the motor you will only be able to move motor when the dreambox is attached to the one passing through the motor at the moment.;)

feckin hell , i feel a thick shhit now !! .thanks for that . so what would be the best option so both upstairs/downstairs boxes can operate the motor independantly ?.

i only need it when the football starts and i can fire off upstairs and move the dish if needed.

I'm afraid that's not possible if you're using two boxes at the same time. But if you use only one box either upstairs or downstairs you can use a splitter to the cable coming down from motor and join both cables to it. This way you will not have to change cables every time. I hope you understand what I mean.;)

a splitter sounds good to me as i'd be switching the downstairs off at the wall when i use the upstairs box.cheers for the help.
