My dream 500S has a problem as service searching disappear. I cannot see any satelite to search for nilesat.

pls can you say exactly what happens. Sometime factory reset could help but i am not sure what cause the problem first.

hi,

i factory reset the dream, and now cannot see service searching which gives me access to search for nilesat.

The dream show this;

1. service organising
2. system settings
3. parental lock
4. expert setup

i am using nabilo darkstar 2

I have to agree when service searching goes it is because the dreambox can not see the tuner anymore!

I would say it is a hardware fault on the tuner.

It is very likely it is the q72 transistor that has gone .

This is a know fault mate many users will see this fault at some time, not your fault.

does this message pops up on every channel? if not, you can clean "satcable" to lnb and switch, make sure the connection are ok, maybe check that dish is correct tuned. good luck.
