I installed mgcamd_v1.29a_mct_patch.tar.gz via manual install on Gemini 3.6 and it crashed my box, Now system doesnt restart. What to do?

i think you need to flash again your box.just take a new one gemini image.

Use the blue panel and download it.
Use the latest keyfiles from the key section.

Or you can take one of those e1 tar.gz files above and bring per ftp to the temporary (tmp)folder in dreambox.Than go to the blue panel/addons/manual install.mark file press green button.thats it.Keys take from here http://www.sat-universe.com/showthread.php?t=10456&page=25 and bring per ftp in var/keys folder.

Is mgcamd 1.29(a) compatible with via2.6 ?

Can someone tell me if mgcamd 1.29(a) is compatible with viaccess 2.6 card ?

I ordered a SSR/SGR sataccess card and wonder if I could still use mgcamd or if I do need to switch to CCcam ?

I was told it doesn't work...

Note to everyone: please use dreambox chat forum whatever the topic is, if it is related to dreambox.
And to answer your question, mgcamd doesn't read any cards on its own, but you can combine it with newcs and you should have a card working fine.
I'll move a thread later.

well, I have found from same meself the answer:

this keyes works alone with v-plug

Silly question may be, but what is the difference between e1 and e2 ???

I'm using a DM5620, is it HW dependent (I tried to upload to the DB 2 e2 CAMs and their installation from blue pannel failed).

I'll try again with the e1, but would be usefull to understand what I'm supposed to do...

e1 stands for enigma1, and e2 for enigma2. Dm5620 runs on enigma 1.
