help needed for gammacard
Hi mates,
if i get the following items:
1-gammacard
2-gammaloader v1.0
3-latest .gam file
4-usb serial adapter + null modem cable to transfer files from laptop to clarke tech2100 decoder
Do I need a smartmouse(programmer) to let this card work? If so, what type of smartmouse do you recommend to get to be compatible with gammacard?
Should I use the nullmodem cable in this procedure or not?
the card where should i put it during the load of .gam file? should it be inside the receiver or should it be in the smartmouse?
I need to know the procedure in order and step by step so that I dont do mistake..I dont know how to start and what to do with all these items..

Yes you can use a smartmouse for programming the card.....but no a null modem cable....you must to use a cable pin to pin

If yoy want to use smartmouse it's needed a cable 9 pin m to 9 pin f
now I have a question about how loading .gam file...
let's suppose that the card is inside the smartmouse now and the smart mouse is connected to the laptop via the serial adaptor..
I will open the gammaloader..then choose the correct port..then what?
how can I direct the loader to choose the .gam file I want to load?
or in other words: how can I say to gammaloader that here is the file I want to load?
In the gammaloader, I dont see the download or browse icon to choose the file

If you watch gammacard Loader 1.0 under the box for to choose the com port there is load file

in readme file: I see that there are 3 files(one new and 2 old)..the first one is N*va emu at 26/01 and the second one is showt*me AU at 26/02 and the latest new one is Showt*me AU at 9/03...
my question is: before loading the file of 9/03, do I have to load first the N*va emu of 26/01 and the other file of 26/02?

Ok I will load only the latest file showt* then...but what will I do if a new file showt* appears next month for example? from what you said,I understand that I cannot load more than 1 file to the card...this does mean that I will not be able to load the coming files then, am I correct?

No, that's not what I meant. I mean you can't load more then 1 file at a time. You can load new files when they appear of course.

by the way, do u have any idea about how long will this card work?
is there a possibility that it could be disabled by original providers?
I don't think it can last long. And yes, it can be disabled by providers. Nova is supposed to switch to new generation of irdeto cards, that should kill the hack on gamma card. Not sure what situation is on showtime.
But my guess would be that providers have their hands in these unofficial cards. They probably have some kind of agreement with card teams like gamma card. They sell a bunch of cards which work for few months. Providers get their share, and then kill a hack so they don't loose subscribers. But don't take my thoughts for granted. I am a sucker for conspiracy theories

can u tell me please step by step how u program gamma with smartmouse?
i got my gamma card before a while but was allready preprogram with nova
i got cas 3 plus
i open gas 3 go untilities then phoenix choose a mode (tryed all) hide
then i open gamma loader v1.0 with the glasses, load file , & when i press program it comes an error & all close down
maybe i will get smartmouse
as i sayes my gamma was preprogram so i m not in hurry just to know if gamma stop works for nova for future if still support as gamma web is allready down

WHAT I NEED TO HAVE IN ORDER TO SEE NOVA WITH DREAMBOX OR OTHER RECIEVER except humax 5400 ?I NEED TO HAVE CAMS such as irdetocam ,matrix reborn if i have one of these cams can i see without gammacard with emulation ???????what is cable pin to pin it is the same with(cable 9 pin m to 9 pin f)???and what is serial adapter can you post some photos of the cables please??? thanks for all
