What does 4.2.2 mean?

Hi all,

Hope you can help me...

What exactly does 4.2.2 at the end of a frequency for a feed mean?

I have a Technomate TM-6900 HD Combo receiver and get a good signal on a feed but the picture is no good because all you see is a coloured blocky image which is unwatchable, but the sound is fine.

Can any receiver pick up 4.2.2 clearly?

NO Sorry 4:2:2 is video codec format
you wont open with any Satellite reciever currently
only way is with webinterface on some Enigma2 Recievers and then stream Feed to PC via VLC PLAYER ...OR... DVB CARD or Box like TBS OR SkyStar II HD

Thanks, so... is there anyway I can watch 4:2:2 feeds without having to have a PC tower with one of these cards near the TV/Receiver?

What is Enigma2? is it software for Linux?

Are there any Enigma2 receivers that will connect to a satellite and TV and work with the 4:2:2 video codec format without the need of a PC?

I had an AZbox Elite which you could view 4:2:2 on. I think you could view them without having to flash the box and install enigma2.

Didn't have blind scan though so was binned quickly.

NO PC IS Required no matter what to see 4:2:2 Feeds
AZ Box will not display 4:2:2 without picture issues but its the only box so far that will at least try to show 4:2:2
but support is long since dead im afraid .

i agree very much everyone is sick of it :mad: :(

he has a new signature now warning everyone he is infact a copy/paste spammer that floods forum with utter crap ;) :nana:

Let them post. I usual keep only feed's posted by Barney or both Dave's. I think last time when i enter sateliweb was a year ago.
I think feeds from there should be banned here.

No apparently not, members are free to post any feed.. My gripe is that feeds are not checked when been copy & pasted.

I personally am sick of it hence my lack of posting of late, which is shame because I am a very loyal member of SU and I don't post my feed findings anywhere else but on SU.

I know some members are unable to post screen shots but I still think a rule should be made that if posting a feed your MUST state the ID AND the content of feed (if known) to at least prove you have received this feed yourself and have tested the CW.

It can be so frustrating to REAL feedhunters when you have spent 20 mins or so finding a CW to find it have been copied and pasted from another website by someone that has done no work to find the feed or test it.

I am sorry if I speak out of line but this how I and other loyal members feel about this subject.

I was made a VIP for my dedicated work to feedhunting and key finding for SU which I am very grateful for.

This is a great forum and for me is been ruined by idiots who think it's clever to copy other peoples work and post it as there own with no credit to the origin.

Please, if you agree with my views click/press thanks.

It's a pain in the neck and should be a done away with imo.

I try to post screenshots with my cw's but don't always have time. I work from home so whie it's easy enough to search for feeds in the background it can be a bit time consuming to be pasting and resizing screenshots and then uploading them etc etc.

Also think ID's should always be posted along with the other relevant stuff.

SAT/FREQ And FEED ID And format either 4:2:0 or 4:2:2
thats all that is asked for and a screenshot when possible
as Attachment NOT LARGE Full Screen-shots
it sounds easy enuff .. but a lot of members now seem to just follow and copy the copy/pasting spammers which really is a shame for REAL Genuine Respected Feedhunters that do make the Efforts .
